Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
